When and Where Were the Qualifiers Played?
The European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 were held from March to November 2023, with the play-offs for the remaining finals places taking place in March 2024.
Qualifying Format
The qualifiers featured 54 UEFA member associations, who were drawn into 10 groups of five or six teams. The top two teams from each group qualified automatically for the finals tournament, with the remaining four third-placed teams entering the play-offs.
Qualification Playoffs
The play-offs were held in March 2024, with the four best-ranked third-placed teams from the qualifiers receiving a bye to the semi-finals. The remaining eight teams played in the quarter-finals, with the winners of those matches advancing to the semi-finals.
